Ballerina Cocoon and Bun Hat 




For this project I used Bernat Cozystyle yarn. 

Adding, tulle and ribbon, along with an adorable bun hat makes this little set so precious. A great photo prop. Cocoons are always wonderful for newborns as well, as they mimic the womb.   

I love this piece :). Must be the girly girl in me. I am also a fan of clean and simple colours. Pretty in pink! 

There are 3 sizes provided in the pattern. 

  • Small newborn- ideal for babies born between 5-7lbs 
  • Large newborn ideal for babies born between 7-9lbs 
  • 0-3 Months a more practical cocoon that could be used up to 3 months old

Materials you would need are:

-Bernat cozystyle medium 4 yarn in pink
-5mm crochet hook
-Darning needle
-White tulle 6” wide role
-¼” white ribbon
-Small amount of stuffing for the bun on the hat

Best Pocket Style Baby Bib

Best Pocket Style Baby Bib A nice, soft, absorbent, handmade bib is better than plastic any day!  A better option for the environment as well, which is certainly an important topic right now. This bib is made with Bernat Handicrafter Cotton. It is quick and fun to make, an ideal project for a beginner.  These really are my favourite bibs! Maybe they'll be yours too. The pocket works perfectly to catch any food or spills. The bib is broad and gives good coverage. It also covers the neckline nicely to protect collars.  Materials you will need for this project include: 1 skein of Bernat Handicrafter cotton yarn in each colour of choice (apprx 100 yrds)  4.5mm hook  1 medium button  Darning needle  Thread of appropriate colour Next up is a version of this pattern done with a plaid stitch.
