Plaid Stitch Pocket Style Baby Bib

Image
Plaid Stitch Pocket Style Baby Bib    THIS BIB!  This is my favourite bib of all time. They wash well, look great, and are practical. A wood toggle makes a very handsome addition to the collar.  This is a written pattern, as are all of my patterns. It includes some helpful tips and pictures on working the plaid stitch to help guide you through the process. It is not difficult by any means, and is really more of a pattern than a stitch. You simply alternate between colours and rows.  The result is clearly lovely.    Of course, I jumped on the plaid train last year when I saw all those cool plaid hats topped with fur pom-poms. I made a Mommy and Me set for my sister and her little guy, which was very well received, and then moved onto some of my own projects.  This bib uses Bernat Yarnspirations in red and black and Bernat Cozystyle in burgundy. I love Bernat yarns. They are affordable and good quality. Other yarns, of course, could

Best Pocket Style Baby Bib

Best Pocket Style Baby Bib A nice, soft, absorbent, handmade bib is better than plastic any day!  A better option for the environment as well, which is certainly an important topic right now. This bib is made with Bernat Handicrafter Cotton. It is quick and fun to make, an ideal project for a beginner.  These really are my favourite bibs! Maybe they'll be yours too. 2-Strand Fox Balaclava This pattern provides the sizes 6-18 months all way up to a large adult.  One of my newest patterns, there is so much to love about these hats. They are worked with a double strand of worsted yarn, so they are quick to make, warm, and the design is just perfect for little ones!  They nicely cover the neck, tuck right into the jackets keeping unwanted snow and chill out. When it's really cold, you can pull it up over your nose/mouth for extra warmth. The neck is crocheted with a front and back piece, so there isn't any uncomfortable bunching.  Add the fun fox element... or maybe a ninja.... which kids love and there you have imaginative play to boot. Bonus!  Materials you would need for this project are: Bernat Premium in colour of choice  6mm crochet hook   Darning Needle Button for nose Happy Crocheting!

Handicrafters Cotton Summer Hat Sizes 0-3 month - Small Adult Women's sizes ONLY Haven't made yourself a fresh hat this summer? It's not too late!  This is an easy basic summer hat. Great for a beginner, skilled crocheter maybe looking for some fun, or perhaps someone with some Bernat Cotton to use up.  Tested numerous times and sized with the help of my 5 children! I have learned much about head sizes from them. I decided to split the sizes so if you were only interested in adult sizes you could download the PDF for less!  The first pattern option includes sizes for 0-3months all the way up to a small adult. Only interested in women's sizes? I've provided women's small, medium, and large in another PDF. Both are linked above.     Bernat Handicrafters Cotton is the yarn of choice for this pattern. I wanted a cotton for it's well known breathing qualities, and I chose Handicrafters because

0-3 Month Sheep Carseat Hat and Blanket Set

Image
0-3 Month Sheep Carseat Hat and Blanket Set Such a shame I hadn't gotten better pictures of this adorable set. I've never been much of a photographer, or writer. That will have to change. And hopefully I will whip up another one of these sets to get a better picture in the near future.  Here is my little guy (who is of course not so little anymore) in the hat. I got a ton of compliments on this set. He looked so sweet and peaceful.   The carseat blanket measures approximately 19''x19''. Which is an ideal size for the carseat. I never was a fan of the bags that could get super hot, or larger bulky blankets that would constantly be falling off the sides. This was simply perfect.  Made with Bernat Blanket Yarn, this is another fast project. It employs a bobble stitch to create a fun and attractive texture.   This is one of my favourite gift sets.
